Amanzi Tea

24 New Cavendish St, Marylebone, London W1G 8TX, UK

Nice variety of teas, has a small outdoor seating and a downstairs. Nice and causal. Staff were friendly. Homely feel

The perfect place for sitting down and getting some work done. Huge selection of tea, free and easy to connect to WiFi, and a good amount of seating. Additionally, the staff is very friendly. When I selected some of the more "out-there" teas they offered a cashier said I should smell it first and after making it said that if I didn't enjoy it she would make another one. There were two downsides I noticed. There were not many power outlets (only two accessible in the building) so if you needed one and it was busy you'd be hard-pressed to get access to one. Additionally the music is a little loud, although not enough to bleed through a nice pair of headphones. I took a few calls while there and received comments about the background noise of the place even when there was no conversation going on around me. A trade-off for atmosphere vs a long-term work solution.

Candella Tea Room

34 Kensington Church St, Kensington, London W8 4HA, UK – 020 7937 4161

What a delightful tea room. Small and cozy. The teas are well balanced. Our personal favorite is the Lavender Earl Grey. The scones are the best we have ever had. Flaky, flavorful and not too dense. The tea sandwiches exceeded our expectations. Favorites were the cucumber mint dill and the salmon cream cheese.. We did not find the cakes dried as a previous reviewer mentioned. Ours were fresh with an interesting blend on flavors. If you are looking for a cozy yet charming place for afternoon tea, my husband and I recommend this place. Suggest reservations as the table fill up quickly. The owner and server are excellent hosts..

Wonderful experience! The staff were kind and accommodating and the food and tea were stupendous. They made a lovely gluten free plate for us as well. Highly recommended!

Stella Coffee | English Breakfast | Lunch | Tea Shop

348 Old Brompton Rd, Kensington, London SW5 9JU, UK – 020 7373 2658

Everything about this place was really nice. Staff was friendly, the food and coffee were both very good, and the atmosphere was perfect.

Really good coffee, and even though their bagels and also other breakfast offers are very basic, the price-value is good by London standards. Quality of service varies though, depending on who is working.

Micky's Fish & Chips

29 Norfolk Pl, Paddington, London W2 1QH, UK – 020 7723 2384

Very good place. The fish and chips were very fresh and crispy (even though I didn't order it). The fish was the best part. Deliciously crunchy and savory. Truly amazing. Calamari and chips was very good too. Highly recommend.

I got the lunch special for take away for 6 Pounds and really enjoyed the Haddock with the chips...Haddock was cooked perfect and the batter was on point. The chips were really tasty as well. If you're by the Paddington Station area and want a nice Haddock and chips, this might be worth your while to give it a whirl...

Baileys

115 Dawes Rd, Fulham, London SW6 7DU, UK – 020 7385 2021

This restaurant had excellent fish and chips! My wife and I stopped in on our trip to London as she is a huge fish and chips fan, and this place had rave reviews. We were not disappointed. We were inclined to stay and eat at the behest of the friendly staff and were delighted by the amount of locals that would stop by. The conversation was friendly and ranged from politics to Quentin Tarantino movies. I cannot recommend this spot enough if you are looking for great food and delightful people.

This place has great food and the portions are huge! Very clean facility and the staff are very friendly and polite.. Highly recommend.

Sheila's Cafe

24A Lancaster Mews, London W2 3QE, UK – 020 7402 8065

A true gem in this neighborhood. Sheila was kind and service minded. Great prices and menus. I asked for a combination breakfast. There was no problem. Worm food is prepared straight away in a pan. It is not a classic franchise restaurant but true, self-owned and managed one person business. Just loved it.

This place always makes me feel at home ! Great Staff, Great Service and above all reasonably priced. My home away from home. Keep it up Sheila's

Brags Sandwich Bar

7 Picton Pl, Mayfair, London W1U 1BN, UK – 020 7935 6647

Nice range of sandwiches, made to order. Good price.

Best bacon rolls I've yet found in London. Treat yourself to a fried egg on top for the ultimate mobile breakfast!

Sandro Sandwich Bar

22 Spring St, Paddington, London W2 1JA, UK – 020 7723 9847

We ate breakfast here every morning while in town on holiday. The staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. I highly recommend stopping in.

Friendly service, quality food, excellent value for money in a heavily trafficked area.

Chinese Takeaways

Imperial Dragon

78 Fulham Palace Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 9PL, UK – 020 8741 1888

Our go-to Chinese. Always hot and delicious, good waiting times. The staff are very friendly.

This place is absolutely beautiful, the prices are a tad high but it's 100% worth it for the quality that you get its absolutely beautiful!

Hong Tin

142B Shepherds Bush Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 7PB, UK – 020 7603 5990

New to the area and have never been person to write reviews but I feel I owed this fine Chinese takeaway an review it only rightly so deserved. I have now visited this Chinese takeaway a few times and all I can say is WOW. This is traditional Cantonese cuisine wok stir fry at its finest, you can really taste the "breath of the dragon" in every dish. I've tried many different local Chinese prior to finding Hong Tin and most was just a major disappointment to say the least. The shop gets really busy on the weekends (guess many locals knows the secret already) but waiting time is always quick and reasonable. Every dish I'd tried so far I absolutely loved and will work my way round the menu, just need to watch my waist line. keep up the good work Hong Tin, you have a massive new fan here.

After reading all the reviews I thought I give one myself. I travel alot so eating out is a must for me! Every time I'm in London i use this great takeaway. The portions are big, price is very reasonable. Most important is the food is high standard. I've dined in expensive restaurants I can tell you these guys are on par! Without the ££££! The service is great too! Those who think otherwise should try the overpriced take outs elsewhere! Good work guy's! After reading some other Google users reviews I could clearly see HONGTIN has a few enemies, couldn't help noticing the review that says they kept on having cramps and so on everytime they eat from them, SO why don't you stop using them if they're that bad!! DON'T GET PUT DOWN GUYS...all the real customers knows what's best....

Eastern Star

14 Hogarth Rd, Earls Court, London SW5 0QT, UK – 020 7373 2407

Eat there a few times a week. Love it!

The spring rolls and rice were very nice, the chicken chow mien was ok, but the duck fried noodles and crispy squid were awful, incredibly dry and flavourless, duck and squid felt and tasted like cardboard.

Indian Takeaways

Palki

44 Golborne Rd, London W10 5PR, UK – 020 8968 8764

Not too bad. Ordered a takeaway for two. Wrong food delivered. Food delivered must have been for at least 4 people. Called up restaurant and they send our correct order and also told us to keep the wrong delivery. So after 2 days we still have India food in our fridge. Nice of Palki to compensate us for delivering the wrong meal and for keeping us waiting. Food was not bad although a bit too much oil.

Best Indian food around! Staff was amazing and the food was delicious! Definitely coming back. I highly recommend to anyone who loves fantastic Indian food :)

The Bombay Takeaway Club

47 Maida Vale, London W9 1SH, UK – 020 7266 7675

Delicious food nd wonderful staff

Consistently great... highly recommended!!

Indian Express

3 N End Parade, West Kensington, London W14 0SJ, UK – 020 7610 1777

What an incredible Indian Restaurant. Food is out of this world tasty. Focusing on flavour and taste - the curries are unbelievably delicious. Rich sauces full of flavour and heat (if you like it) is not just hot, it's flavoursome. Absolutely delicious. Rice is lovely - not greasy and the chutneys and pickles are arguably the best we've ever tasted. Service is impeccable. The owner / manager asked our names and delivered a really personal experience. He even remembered our names when we went back a few days later. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Just go there.

One of those places that will just stay in your mind. From awesome stuff and really warm welcome to the great and amazing food that was recommended and served. Great explanation of food and ingredients. I need to highlight SPECIAL LAMB BHUNA, something that i was hesitant about but it turned out really amazing and delicious. I can't express enough how nice and warm this place is. Big thanks for awesome ending of our day.

Takeaway Food

LEON

8, Kensington Arcade, Kensington High St, Kensington, London W8 5SF, UK – 020 7937 1736

I don't know why people say it's too expensive. I'm stuffed and it cost me less than most other meals. Lovely food and great vegan selection.

Tasty fast food. A great option when you are on the go. It is what it is. And a good value.

Leon

27, Broadway Shopping Centre West, Hammersmith Broadway, Hammersmith, London W6 9YD, UK – 020 8222 8732

Leon was such a wonderful place to eat, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was ready immediately. I got a plant burger for £5.25 which is a really great price for London. There was plenty of seating and even free tap water laid out in jugs with mint which I thought really showed the caring nature of the staff. The burger was delicious especially the shredded carrot. I would definitely recommend Leon and want to go there again soon.

The food is as good as any other Leon, but the service here is amazing. I was very sweaty on an extremely hot day and they gave me a free water bottle and a smile.

LEON

C302A, Westfield London, Ariel Way, Shepherd's Bush, London W12 7SL, UK – 020 8740 7539

All the restaurants in the chain are very similar. This was nice enough and not too crowded in the mid afternoon. The food is quite healthy and reasonably priced.

LOVE their recently added vegan + gluten-free options! Special thanks to Ahmed for his excellent customer service, care, advice and for radiating joy doing his job with love. Thank you Ahmed! & Leon, Fleur
